Testament

For centuries we’ve tried to define it, this never-ending calling, this desire to believe that we are not just random descendants of monkeys hurling millions of miles an hour aimlessly thorough space… living by the very rules and prospects left behind for us to ponder, and for some to define our purpose in life.

Maybe security, maybe guidance, maybe hope, certainly love.

It’s one thing every religion can agree on, the rest being general guidelines. This enormous light & love energy inspires people from all over the planet to do incredible and outrageous things at the same time.

Some of the worlds biggest tourist attractions are still religious buildings, that took 300 years and multiple architects and generations of workers to construct, and others commencing in the 19th century still remain unfinished.

The greatest of what has been built by men, is on display all in his name. And in times without separation of church and state you can see even more of the power and resources that are poured into these buildings. Was it to invoke fear- Fear of what? Fear of God? Fear of disobeying the government?

Restoring order, yet causing total chaos, religion certainly has an interesting place in our history.

These buildings, no matter your religious preference are a testament to the greatness that can be achieved when working together, on something bigger than oneself and believing in a higher power.

Phillip has always been inspired and intrigued by religion since he was young, growing up in a mixed household, luckily he was able to form his own opinions, always open and still learning. From cathedrals to temples, mosques to churches, always looking upward, Phillip finds peace in each, while noticing the attempted influence, constantly in awe of what was built by man in the name of God.
